We have been doing this swimming lesson thing for a couple of years now, with minimal results. Eli has shown more progress so we put him in the class one level up this time. This session it all seemed to click for him.
I would highly recommend getting lessons from Cody at the Hoover YMCA if you are in the Birmingham area. He didn't flustered by my sensitive often emotional child and kept gently pushing him towards bigger and better goals. He was great with distraction if the kids got upset and keeping the kids moving. After using several swim teachers in different classes at different YMCAs he has been the best by far.
I'm hoping after Lydia's arrival to get some more lessons set up. This very pregnant momma was done with the preparation, drying, clothing and watching swim lessons for three boys right at dinner time.

February Love: Bouncing with the Cousins
A new trampoline jumping place opened in town (I really can't think of a more refined way to explain it). Aunt Ally invited us to come out and give a try. It was so much fun. The kids bounced, ran, jumped, flipped and played for the entire time we were there.
Jumping into the foam blocks was a fast favorite. Momma didn't jump in, as I was unsure about my ability to get out, ever.
These two did this themselves. So much sweetness.
Girls jumping in unison.
Even baby boy had fun.
Bare feet, some smiles, wet shirts from the water fountain, and six tired happy McCays.
It makes my heart so happy to watch this crew be together. They truly love each other and want to play with each other. What a blessing.

February Love: The Alabama Weather (finally)
We have had a colder and wetter winter than average (at least to my recollection of entertaining busy boys inside for weeks on end). But we have had a few wonderfully warm days that have allowed for flip flops and popsicles (and hours of outside play with imagination and moving large muscle groups).
Momma is thankful for:
strawberry and mango popsicles (the price for the treat was posing for a picture)
for football
and hide and seek
(hey why is this random box in the middle of the drive way, no way it's a hiding place)
and soccer with golf clubs
dry slides and friends at the park
and running races that involve obstacles.
Thankful for this taste of spring.
Are you having fun on vine? We are..
