Adorable in Triplicate

Jason says I'm a bit obsessed with dressing the boys alike. I just love to see them all matching. Even if I don't have matching outfits for the day, I like for them to at least coordinate. I figure I will do it for as long as they will allow, since I am keenly aware that this probably won't fly when they are 16, 15, and 13. These are the pictures from the first time I had all three of them in the exact same shirts.

This is my favorite (and the new blog header)

I set them up on the edge of the bed, and then realized I couldn't scoot back far enough to get all three in one shot.

(and as you can see, I had enough time to get the pictures, not comb the hair)

And we are all done...as evidenced by Colin's eyes.

One Month Later

Colin 1 Month Old

Colin 1 Month Old

Colin was 1 month old on July 10th. I have been trying to blog about it ever since, and here we are a week later. Things are busy around here. I guess that is kind of obvious.

Colin is a generally easy baby. He pretty much goes with the flow, as long as I am around.

He loves for someone (mostly me) to talk to him and to be held. He watches the boys and keeps his eyes on them when they are in the room.

He is almost smiling, let's call it smirking. He is most definitely giving us expressions. He has given me 2 big smiles, but he isn't doing it all the time.

One of those big smiles was in the bath tub. He loves his bath.

He eats great and a lot (gotta keep that weight up, you know). At night he goes for 4-5 hour stretches in between feedings. This means mommy is getting some meaningful sleep. :)

Colin 1 Month Old

He does find in necessary to be rather fussy between 8pm and midnight, but I just keep telling myself that it is this magical "almost 6 weeks old" age. I know it will peak and pass, but it makes our evenings a little long around here. I am grateful that this time is after Walker and Eli are in bed, so we can generally handle it.

When we go out he snuggles up in my new sling, which has made eating in restaurants and shopping possible again. I love having him close and he hates his car seat, so this works out for both of us.

I cannot believe he has been here for 5 weeks and at the same time it feels like he has always been here. Can't wait to see what the next month holds.

From Around the World

How many of you can say your little brother has been interviewed by an Australian newspaper? Well, I can.

Matthew is in Australia for some training and was interviewed by The West Australian here.

Matthew and Elaine sent the boys shirts with his squadron name on them for Christmas. After I got them all dressed in them I realized we had left our good camera at someone's house, so that is the reason for the camera phone picture.

As soon as I got the picture Walker went and found airplanes for everyone and they played with them all day. Specifically the Super Hornet, which is what Uncle Matthew flies.

Exploding with Love

Seeing all three boys together is almost more than I can take.

Coming Home

I have never seen two brothers that love each other as much as Walker and Eli do and they have extended the same affections towards Colin.

They both beg to hold him. During story time before bed last night they had to take turns holding him while the stories were read. This would be the part where mommy's heart explodes with love. :)

During nap time Walker asked me to roll Colin's bassinet into his room to sleep so, "I can have two brothers sleeping in my room."

In the morning Walker tells Colin good morning before he ever speaks to me.

Colin was starting to fuss in his swing the other day. Walker ran and climbed in the bassinet, got the pacifier and gave it to Colin all without my assistance.

I pray that these boys only grow in love for one another.
