Everyday's A Parade

A couple more Disney souvenirs. This is the first night they got their parade mickeys. We waited until it was dark so they could appreciate the lights. Now Walker will not go to bed without his "mickey mouse flashlight." We hear the whirring sound for about 5 minutes and then a loud drop sometime in the night.

Football and Fun

Last Saturday our little family split paths. Jason and I headed to Auburn to watch our Tigers play LSU and the boys headed out with Grammy and Grin for a day packed with more fun than they ever have with mommy and daddy.

The boys went to Tannehill State Park. They were having 'trade days' which means there was lots of opportunity to buy prizes.

They also got to ride the train there. It appears that my boys could not possibly be the only ones with this little train obsession. Every place we go there is a small train for kids to beg to ride. I'm not complaining. I'm just saying I never noticed that trains were literally everywhere before the boys demanded to ride them all.

Walker made his own train at Grammy's.

Eli enjoyed his messy spaghetti.

Jason has taught Walker that absolutely everything needs pepper, even a grilled cheese.

Jason and Katy
Jason and I had a great time in Auburn. We tailgated with our friends the Wyrosdicks, and had a good game to watch, even if it didn't end the way we had hoped. I always enjoy all the people we run into at a game. It's like returning to visit all your extended family. You never know who you are going to see, but you know you are going to see lots of familiar faces.

We're Still Here

Two weeks of blogging absence and I don't know where to begin. I got a little behind and I have so many updates I don't know where to start. So, I will just give a quick update and then pick up where we are and maybe get to the old stuff later on. Here we go, the past two weeks in short-hand.

  • We were able to keep our nieces, Hannah and Leah, while their mommy and daddy went down to a football game. A 2 1/2 year old, 18 month old, and two 11 month olds, it was a blast. I am totally convinced that can have 4 children. Jason will just have to figure out how to be a stay-at-home-daddy with me.

  • We've all been sick. In ways you would rather me not go into detail about. Poor boys and girls (we passed it on to Hannah and Leah before we knew). We spent several days at the house recovering. Which means the boys were in their PJ's all day. Yes, that's right, just the boys, I was totally dressed.

  • Jason went to Orlando on business. Yuck, I hate it when he is out of town. It was hard for him to be there and not be on vacation with us. Especially since his parents just bought two Disney Vacation Club memberships!!! We are so excited, 49 years of guaranteed vacations. Best souvenir yet!

  • This week we have been enjoying the cooler weather and even broke out the long pants one day. We have spent several days at the park and even met Jason there one night before dinner. Can't wait for fall to really be here!

  • Tomorrow will be another day devoted to all things football. The big game is coming. WAR EAGLE!

I'm Too Busy!

Walker asked for a picture of a train to color. I quickly hopped to the computer, found a picture of some trains and printed it out; just to meet his request. Immediately, this is what I got as a response. I guess I should have checked his schedule for the day.
