Three Boys in the Tub

3 in the Tub

It has happened. All three in the tub at the same time.

3 in the Tub

It started by moving Colin out of the baby tub, and Eli asking to get in the bath with him. Of course, after Eli has done something Walker is certainly going to do it as well.

3 in the Tub

Incidentally, I think three is the limit for boys in a tub, and I don't know how long they are going to fit as it is. And, somehow I have ended up doing the bathing. I typically on bathe the baby, but now since the baby is in the tub I'm bathing all the brothers that join in. Splish, Splash...where's my raincoat?

When bath time became 2 in the tub.

This Baby is a Blast

This baby, he is amazing. He is so joyful and easy going.

He loves his brothers and they love him. They just want to be in the same space together. The boys miss him so much when he takes his naps or goes to bed for the night.

He has realized we have dogs and does his best to crawl after them. He has also discovered the dog water and loves to splash.

He crawls wherever he would like to be, from room to room at lightning speed.

He pulls up on anything and will free stand for a second or two.

He has 3 teeth. All on the left side. Two on top and one on bottom. His crooked smile is adorable.

He has his first ear infection and is only slightly more needy, but really has not complained at all. What?!? Remarkable.

He smiles and claps if you do the same.

He has a blankie and sucks his first two fingers. Precious. He is completely capable of settling himself to sleep (or back to sleep) with the combination of the blankie and fingers.

His betrothed was born early Friday morning.

I hope London thinks he is as cute as I do!

The World is a Construction Site

The boys got several packages of this for Christmas.

See how you are supposed to make sculptures and shapes out of it. I got the boys started on that for a bit.

Then I walked away for a few minutes and return to see that the boys had a better idea.

I think their idea is better anyway.

3 Peas in a Pod

I hear whispering from the corner. "Baby Colin, come here. Baby Coooooolin." It is Walker trying to call his baby brother over to play.

He eventually crawls over, not because of the beckoning, but eventually he comes anyway.

I turn around to see all three boys playing with the bat cave Uncle Matthew and Aunt Elaine got them for Christmas.

I'll be the first to admit, I was doubtful about the success of this present. We don't know much about superheros, yet. But the boys have caught right on and love it. It is well worth the playroom real estate.

Then Daddy Taught Us About Snowballs

And the snow got a lot more fun.

We got a good 4 hours of snow today. It wasn't quite cold enough for it to accumulate much, but it was still fun. Walker is the only one who has actually touched snow before, so this counts as Eli and Colin's first snow. It is always fun to do something different, and I think they also were thrilled to be outside.

Hold Me Close

Most days I love wearing Colin, because it is great to have him close and going out is super easy. But when Baby is sick, I can't imagine how we would get through the day any other way. He's happy. I'm happy.

And the boys can happily go on with their day. We had been painting and were cleaning up post-art project when I got these photos.

Holy, Holy, Holy

We were driving the car yesterday. No radio, no movies, just quiet. From the way back I hear the sweetest, softest voice singing. It is my precious Eli, singing Holy, Holy, Holy. In perfect time, and in tune. And then, my heart exploded.

We don't sing hymns very often around here. Our praise sessions are usually led by Third Day or Needtobreathe, and about as traditional as we get would be some Hillsong. But, we go to Bible Study Fellowship each week. It is very structured. The kids are taught about Jesus and the importance of the Bible and they sing three hymns each week. I suppose my precious Eli has been paying attention.

(ignore the part in the middle where he says he doesn't like it. that is what he says when you want him to like something and i interrupted the dump truck races to get the video. and of course, it was better in the car, prompted by only himself.)
