We did it, and we did it well if I do say so myself. Alabama to California in 5 days.

After doing some research and getting some valuable advice we decided that with the kids' current ages attempting to visit landmarks and amazing natural wonders would probably be more stress than it would be worth. We decided to stick to roadside stops that would provide an hour to stretch our legs, but not add to much milage to our journey.
So on July 5th we rose early and headed west! We arrived on the West Coast on July 9th. Here is the breakdown of our milage each day.
Day 1: 755 miles
Day 2: 590 miles
Day 3: 586 miles
Day 4: 396 miles
Day 5: 220 miles
Total: 2547 miles {wow}
The kids, the grown ups and the minivan all had a great journey. I'm going to break down our adventures day by day in individual post, so more to come!
